Metzger 2 Sanitary Sewer Trunk Main Rehabilitation

PORTLAND, OR

AKS provided civil engineering design, surveying, and permitting for improvements to 5,400 linear feet of 12-inch wastewater trunk line and the associated improvements. The project upgrades the existing line to improve hydraulic and structural deficiencies and increases capacity for future build-out needs. Because the corridor contains streams, wetlands, and sensitive areas, AKS worked with environmental and geotechnical subconsultants to address natural resource and geotechnical concerns. AKS worked closely with adjacent property owners to coordinate the work and to alleviate disruption to properties. As part of the project, AKS provided a design to remove an existing culvert on Ash Creek and restored the stream to its natural condition.
